This editorial from the inside front cover of Blue Bolt, November, 1942 reflects an America at War. It exhorts readers to do all they can to support the war effort, with Mom and Dad's supervision, of course. Collecting materials for recycling was on way readers could involve themselves in this national effort. Rubber was in especially short supply. The purchase of War Bonds and Savings Stamps were also suggested.
