Post-war North America saw a return to posperity across the continent. This comic book ad from the Canadian Edition of Whiz Comics #99, July 1948 has many items for sale strictly for fun and entertainment.
Layout of the ad is still somewhat haphazard. Note the items that must have sold out prior to the release of the ad. Since the entire ad was hand drawn and lettered, the only solution is to cross out those items to indicate their lack of availability.
Also note, once again, the comic book publisher is the novelty advertiser. This Canadian edition of Fawcett Publishing's Whiz Comics is put out by Anglo-American Publishing, advertising Anglo-American Novelties.
